Qualifications in Physics are highly rated and frequently used as discriminators for entry to Higher Education courses but despite the intrinsic fascination of the subject, even private schools find difficulty recruiting highly qualified and successful teachers. Individual tuition by a top class tutor can markedly improve achievement.
I have taught Physics for 36 years, 25 of them as Head of Department, in a variety of educational environments – state, private, international, military and royal schools in Scotland and abroad. I am now based full-time in Glasgow.
An acknowledgement of my students’ success appeared as a full-page news article in the Glasgow Herald on 2nd September 2001. I retired from full-time teaching in an International School in Hong Kong in 2006 and since, in addition to writing, have been a senior Physics tutor with the highly prestigious Academic Management Group. I have presented students at Higher and Advanced Higher, S grade, I.B, AS , A2, and Public School entrance exams for Winchester, Roedean, CLC and Sevenoaks.
I can offer a variety of teaching strategies and excellent CAL packages including Virtual Experiments. My Tutorial Base is in Bothwell but I will visit within a radius of 8 miles. Testimonials can be made available to prospective students. To apply for tutorials please contact me at glenn@glasgowphysicstutor.co.uk or call 07943 122 866.
